New Staff
Counselors are positive role models. They project enthusiasm and their dedication to creating a friendly environment for campers ensures a successful experience. Our staff includes teachers, college students, and even former campers who have grown up with the Poulter programs.
Because so much of our success depends on this team of dedicated individuals, counselors are carefully screened and selected on the basis of their training, skills and sensitivity.
Below are the available positions for summer 2008.
COUNSELORS AND TRIP LEADERS
(Staff Training begins on June 15th, 2008)
- Must have a desire to work, teach and play with young people.
- Previous work with young people is recommended.
- Experience or study in education or recreation, as well as previous camp counseling is helpful.
- Ability to teach, desire to learn, ability to accept guidance.
- Minimum 1st-Aid required for Counselors/Trip leaders is Wilderness First Aid + CPR.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Most positions require mini mum age of 21.

WILDERNESS INSTRUCTORS
(Staff Training begins on June 13th, 2008)
In addition to requirements for Trip Leaders, these staff must have the ability to teach skills such as Rock climbing, ice and snow work, orienteering, peak ascents and hold certification as a Wilderness First Responder or EMT. Previous documented counseling/leadership experience is also important. Applicants must be over the age of 21.
CAMP NURSE
Must be an R.N. Wilderness First-Aid experience also preferred. Responsible for maintaining general camp cleanliness, health standards, handling camp medical emergencies. Includes assistance in other areas of camp as able/necessary, and supervising programs in absence of Directors. An EMT can qualify to assist the Camp Nurse.

FOOD SERVICE STAFF
Currently looking for a part time cook, room and board included with pay based on experience.
