Canyonlands Discovery
Approximate Ages 9-11
Canyonlands Discovery is an action packed 10-day trip into some of Utah’s most spectacular wilderness. After arriving at camp in Steamboat Springs, campers begin introductions and dive into group dynamic activities. The next morning the group heads out the canyon country of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Campers will hike, swim and explore around some of the great western rivers, as well as smaller canyons and plateaus. Included in the trip are two nights camping on the Colorado River, and enjoying a full day raft trip floating through a colorful red rock canyon outside of Moab, UT.
After enough desert sand, sun and river-surf to last a summer, the group returns to camp for the closing campfire and celebration. Canyonlands Discovery is an incredible ten-day adventure where campers make friends while traveling to some of the most renowned scenery of the American West.
Canyonlands Discovery is lead by experienced and competent instructors who possess advanced wilderness skills, a love for the canyons and rivers and a commitment to providing a safe, fun experience for young people. Groups consist of 2 or 3 leaders and 6 to 9 campers.
